April 23, 2011

You like to hold cutlery while you eat, but you don't really like to use it. Until dinner tonight. You were trying so hard to get some food on your fork but just couldn't figure it out. So mommy would put the food on, and you would put it in your mouth, and you thought that was just great.

Giggling with Grampa.

Mr. Serious & Mr. Serious Jr.?

Layla got a jewellery making kit from the easter bunny yesterday. Here she is showing off the toe rings she made with it.

Today we went to Gramma P's to decorate easter eggs with her. Layla had sooooo much fun. She mostly liked just dipping the eggs from one colour to the next to the next. Her fingers got a good dye-job too!

Today is Good Friday, not Easter Sunday, but the Easter bunny made an early stop at our house last night because Daddy works all weekend. Here's a pic of The Munchkins after their egg hunt, showing off some of their loot.

Cooper's really getting a grasp with the duplo lego these days. Here he is making a little tower with the blocks. He would put for small blocks on top of the blue block and then take them off again and rearrange them. Guess he wants to get it just right. :)

Layla had preschool this morning, but apparently Layla thought she was going to a poetry reading or something. She came out of her room dressed all in black and she just reminded me of a poet or artist or something. She said "Mommy, I'm wearing all black! Black pants, black shirt, black socks and even black underwear!!" She was pretty proud of herself for getting everything to match.

Oh... and on a side note, we noticed Cooper's 8th tooth today. His bottom left molar, 3rd from the back. Kind of out of order. We're still waiting on the bottom right, 2nd from the centre to make an appearance.

April 20/11

This one's for you Gramma P!! Cooper's getting all practiced up for the Pipe Band Parades this summer!

We went over for a play at the Gallina's this morning and the girls got along sooooo well. It's been a long time coming. Heather snapped this pic of the BFFs.

April 19/11

Cooper enjoying a book while he eats his cheerios and milk. He's just recently really gotten into books. He loves them.

Give Layla a set of anything and she'll line them up. I had these paper circles that I gave her to draw on. Instead, she wanted to line them up. One on each tile of the floor.

April 18/11

They're not supposed to be jumping on the couch. But sometimes you just gotta grab your camera and click away. Cooper is so excited when he's able to do the things his big sister does.

Layla going for a ride on Daddy's feet.

Erin Martini came over for a visit today, and brought Layla this...

Yep! That's a Bieber tattoo! And Layla loves it! She can't wait to show it off at swimming lessons tomorrow.

April 16, 2011

It was a Daddy-Munchkin day today in the Moffatt home. Daddy helped them build a pretty sweet fort in the living room. Looks like they had a lot of fun!

More fun with boxes.

Layla's been trying to feed the birdies everything from stones, grass, smarties & self-dug worms for the past few weeks. Needless to say, they weren't interested. So we decided to make our own bird-feeded. I took Layla to the Bulk barn and she picked out some bird seed. Then we came home and got to work. Here she is smearing peanut butter on her toilet paper roll.

Showing off her finished product.

All ready for the birdies.

Gramma P. got Cooper a new tool belt. It's so cute. Each tool is a different Sesame Street character.

Up until now, you've been using this car as a walker. In the past few days, you've figured out how to get on it yourself. Can't really move well on it yet, but you sure are trying!

Layla having fun with her food.

Layla made this daffodil picture at pre-school today, She was so excited to who it off to Cooper, so she gave it to him to take a look at. He instantly pulled off all the daffodil centres. Layla was not impressed, we had to do a little fix-it up when we got home.

April 13, 2011

We took a trip to the park this morning and met up with the Gallina's. We went to the "blue park" first, but it was closed because there were tractors in there bringing in new wood chips, so we headed down to the "yellow park" at the board walk. It was soooooooooo nice this morning, The water was so blue and calm. It was so sunny and warm. All the kids had a blast, except Cooper during his little hissy fit.

Peekaboo!

Jumping from rock to rock.

Heather gave it a try too!

And mommy!

All the girls watching Coop have his hissy fit.

Mommy's sucky-baby.

We all need somebody to lean on.

Re

Whenever Cooper comes across a pair of shoes, no matter who's they are, this is what he does with them. Sticks a hand in each one and starts crawling.

The munchkins out for a walk with mommy to get the mail.

Re-discovery! The left photo was taken today, the right was when Cooper was 6 months old. Coop wen through a little phase at around six months where he figured out he could blow raspberries. He soon got over it, and now has just rediscovered again that he can do it. He thinks its hilarious!

April 11, 2011

Cooper's been walking but still definitely prefers to crawl. I pulled Cooper's squeaker shoes out to try and encourage more walking from him.  He thought it was pretty funny when he squeaked when he walked.

Daddy & Layla played an exciting game of kitchen hockey before bedtime tonight.

Action shot!

April 10, 2011

Cooper loves to climb the step stool, and check himself out in the reflection of my KitchenAid mixing bowl.

"Hey Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirdies!!! I have some worms for youuuuu! They're very yummy! Or you can sleep with them tonight! They're very snuggly!"

This is what Layla yelled after digging up some worms in our backyard. Gotta love her!

Doing sooooooo well with printing her alphabet.
